Papercutz, the premier publisher of great graphic novels for kids including BIONICLE® and DISNEY FAIRIES, has debuted three books featuring characters that top every kids wish list this year: Cole, Zane, Jane, Kai and Sensei Wu from LEGO Ninjago®; the lovable curmudgeon tabby Garfield and the Smurfs! Full color, budget friendly and sized to slip into stockings, these books are perfect for even the most reluctant of readers.
LEGO Ninjago® is this season's hottest toy and kids will not be able to put down the first book based upon the toys -- LEGO NINJAGO® #1: The Challenge of Samurkai! ($6.99) -- a classic story of good versus evil with plenty of action and "Spinjitzu." The LEGO NINJAGO® graphic novels are written by Greg Farshtey, who penned the hugely successful BIONICLE® graphic novels, also based on the LEGO property. Check out sample pages of the book here: http://www.papercutz.com/ninjago/ninjago1pre1.html.
Thanks to the wildly successful major motion picture this past summer, Smurfs are once again Smurf-tastic! A little known fact is that, before the hit 80's animated TV series and the popular Smurf figurines, Smurfs originally appeared in comics. Papercutz is proud to continue publishing the original Smurfs comics by Peyto with the debut of their latest installment: The Smurfs #8: The Smurf Apprentice ($5.99).
The Cartoon Network's The Garfield Show is a bona fide hit and one of their most popular shows. Just in time for the holidays and created under the guidance of creator Jim Davis, 3 episodes from The Garfield Show are now collected in a graphic novel format: Garfield & Co #4: Caroling Capers ($7.99). Kids will laugh out loud at Garfield's winter shenanigans!

Our thoughts: All three of these books are a lot of fun! They are full of colorful illustrations and are a perfect gift for young ones aged 8-14. Although my girls are too little for these, they had a great time looking at all the pictures. I loved Garfield when I was young, so this book actually brought back some funny memories, it was great!
