Gift Guide: Super Duper Publications Educational Games (Review & Giveaway)

"Sharon and Thomas Webber founded Super Duper® Publications in 1986 with two products and two types of stickers.
Sharon started creating easy-to-use therapy materials while working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public schools. Thomas was a practicing attorney before focusing his talents on developing therapy materials also. Fast forward 25 years - today, we're making hundreds of creative, colorful educational and therapy materials that you and your children will love. (Believe it or not, we have as much fun making them as your kids will have learning with them!)"
Super Duper Publications products are perfect gifts for your kids this year because they are educational and a lot of fun. I had the delight of reviewing three of their products, Jeepers Peepers - The Ask & Answer Question Game, Party Pups - The Game of Prepositional Fun & Anytime Go-Togethers Super Photo Fun Deck.
The first game, Jeepers Peepers is a question game with 101 photo cards in five different categories: Animals, Food, People, Things, and Transportation. The game comes with 6 pairs of Jeepers Peepers glasses, "My Cue Cards", 101 photo cards (4" x 5"), Spinner and bingo chips, and an Instruction booklet.
The rules to the game are very simple. Everyone wears a pair of glasses and a card is attached to the top without the person seeing what is on the card. After everyone has their glasses on and a card is placed on their heads, you start asking questions until you figure out what is on your glasses. The glasses are absolutely hilarious, we laughed so hard!
We went around the circle, and the first person to guess the right answer won. The round went for quite a while, so we didn't end up using the spinner and the chips. But, if you plan on playing a few rounds the spinner and chips would be a lot of fun. We had a blast playing this game as adults, so I am sure our kids will love it too when they are a little older.

The second product we reviewed is the Anytime Go-Togethers Super Photo Fun Deck! My daughter loves this set of cards and asks to play with them every night. The deck of cards includes 84 photo card pairs and a handy tin to keep them in. I really have enjoyed the photos on these cards because their is such a variety and the photos are very clear and colorful!
My husband and I play a memory game with my daughter every night, which has been great for her.  She just has so much fun and wants to play it over and over again. I have noticed her vocabulary getting better and she surprises me every time we play because she remembers where the matching card is better than I do! What I really like about this set is that I can switch out the cards every night when we play memory making it feel like a whole new game.
Lastly, we reviewed Party Pups. This game is super simple and is a great way to learn prepositions and creating sentences. "Players take turns choosing preposition cards, identifying the preposition on the cards, and using them in sentences. Players spin the electronic spinner and collect doggie treats which they place on their game boards. The player with the most doggie treats wins!"

Gift Guide: Mindware Review & GIVEAWAY (closed)

MindWare has excellent educational games, learning toys, and more!
My daughter was able to receive their award winning game: The Cat in the Hat I Can Do That! Deluxe Edition
We invited some friends of my daughter's over and broke out the game to play! The game was so much fun! To play the game, you pick a card from each of the three piles, combine them, and use the props included in the game to complete a certain task. Like in the example shown below: Jump Three Times-With the Fish-Between Your Elbows. If the child thinks they can do it, they say "I Can Do That!" and gives it a try. They take the soft fish bowl piece, put it in between their elbows, and jump. There are tons of different combinations of tasks to complete. They use a variety of objects like a ball, plate, etc. along with physical movements. There is even a timer for timed activities which makes things fun as well. The girls had so much fun playing the game and laughed the whole way through! I played along with them and had a blast as well! I had to do a crab crawl to the refrigerator with a ball on my tummy before the time ran out and all of the girls laughed so hard! It was fun and I'm sure we will continue to play it with lots more friends!
The Cat in the Hat I Can Do That! game has won multiple awards including the Dr. Toy 100 Best Children's Products Award, Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Toy Award, and the Parents' Choice Gold Award.  It is a great game because it "can be customized to create an encouraging, positive experience for learners of all abilities."

Gift Guide: Slooooks! (Review and Giveaway) CLOSED

"Spin the spinners to determine the color and the first letter of the object you will seek. Flip the timer and start looking. If you find it before the timer runs out, slide open one of the eyes!"
Going to the doctors was always a little scary when I was a kid. My mom helped pass the time while we sat in the waiting room by playing I Spy and we loved it!
I received Slooooks! to review and was very excited to play it with my family! Slooooks! is the game of I Spy but with a twist!
Slooooks! comes with a colorful, fun playing board, which has pictures of people wearing sunglasses, a timer, and two spinners attached to the board. One spinner has colors and the other has letters.
The game is very simple, first you choose an area where you want to play. This can be anywhere you want to play. Then each player chooses an eye color. You then spin both spinners and look for an object that is the color your spinner is on and starts with the letter you landed on. You have until the timer runs out to find an object, and if you do, you get to flip open one of your eyes! When all of your eyes are open you win!
The board is so fun and can be brought with you anywhere. It folds nicely in half, with a magnet holding it together. The only pieces is the timer, and it loops into the elastic for easy storage. My daughter had a blast playing with me and asks to play it often. She is a little young so we only played with the color spinner. We would spin it, then we would take turns looking for something that was that color. She knows most of her colors, but I can see her brain working hard as we play, so it's definitely great for her!

Other fun games to play:
1. Speed Slooooks! See how many objects you can find before the timer runs out. Then open up that many eyes instead of one.
2. Challenge Slooooks! Everyone plays at the same time. The first person to find an object opens an eye.
3. Mind Slooooks! Spin the spinners, then flip the timer and instead of looking for an object, use your brain to come up with 3 correct items before the timer runs out. If you do, open 1 eye.

There are several things you can do with this game, it's definitely a game your kids will love!

Gift Guide: uKloo Early reader Treasure Hunt Game (Review & Giveaway) CLOSED

"uKloo Early Reader Treasure Hunt Game: A new concept in Educational Games helps children gain confidence as they learn to read. uKloo turns your home into the game board and gets kids physically active.
Parents are in charge with uKloo!  After all who knows their kids best? Parents decide which cards to use, how many cards to leave out and what SURPRISE will best motivate their child!"
As little kids, there were many moments where we needed something do to because we were BORED! I vividly remember my littlest brother and I making a treasure hunt game with clues that sent us running all over the house! We had an absolute blast! I can't remember what the end prizes would be, but I am sure they weren't too extravagant, coming from a little boy with no money!

When I found uKloo online and read what the Early Reader Treasure Hunt Game involved it brought back so many fun memories and I was delighted to review it with my kids!
Ukloo was created as a reading game with the help of teachers, parents, kids and even special needs families! Not only is uKloo extremely fun to play, but it is educational as well. It is great for Beginner Readers, Young Readers, Reluctant Readers, ADHD Children, Autistic Kids and English as a second language students. The Early Reader Treasure Hunt Game provides kids with physical activity, an opportunity for them to problem solve and independent learning and play.
With uKloo all the work of a treasure hunt is done for you! My favorite part is the picture helper. It has pictures of the words on the cards, so my kids can refer to the chart when they can't figure out the word on the card! I keep this on the fridge so they know where they can find it. It is really a genius idea and makes the game a ton of fun! There are also 3 levels to the game. Each level gets a little more difficult, so you can slowly add in the harder cards as your kids get older and smarter!
Your kids will have so much fun playing this game. There are lots of things you can do with the game to twist it up too. One idea given is you can set up two separate games and have your kids race to see who finishes first! I like to hide gifts, so this will be a great way to get my hubby running around the house too!
