Once again Shaun the Sheep and company manage to make A&W dissolve into giggles.  The DVD run time is about 45 minutes and the episodes are short making it the perfect little show to pop in when you need everyone to settle down for just a few minutes.  One of these little episodes allowed me to unload the dishwasher this morning....thanks Shaun!  The boys like the silliness of the animals on the farm (who do not talk with words but communicate with their appropriate animals sounds....baa's etc..).  The animation is really great and the show gets me laughing too with its flat out silliness.  Watch and laugh with the kids!  Pick up a copy today on Amazon...

A&W and Baby R (really must think of a different nickname for her as she is nearing 2!!) really like Timmy Time.  In case  you are unfamiliar with the show, it is full of silly, slapstick humor and NO dialogue.  There is only communication through animal sounds (baa's, hoots etc...) and my kids think that is hilarioius!  The antics of the animals never fail to get all of them in stitches.  As a parent I, of course, appreciate the messages conveyed with all those animal sounds (teamwork, sharing etc..).  Hooray for Timmy! Our take?  Once again, Angelina Ballerina delivers fun along with positive messages.  Even though this DVD is certainly marketed more toward girls, my boys enjoy watching and there are some boy characters as well.  Angelina is fun for boys AND girls!  The animation is pretty incredible and the characters are so lifelike.  I think my kids particularly enjoyed the music in this one and it had them off their feet and moving on more than one occasion.  Thumbs up for Angelina Ballerina:  Pop Star Girls!  You can pick up your copy today on Amazon for just $11.99...

I really love this DVD because it has a big variety of shows.  Baby R loves Barney, W is a huge Fireman Sam fan while A loves Kipper.  When I pop this in, everyone is happy.  I also like the bedtime theme and the kids really enjoy it too.  HIT shows always deliver quality programming and I am always grateful for that when there is so much out there that is questionable!  Sweet Dreams is a great one to have on hand to help your little busy bodies wind down a bit for the night.  You can pick it up today on Amazon...

I asked my friend and fellow blogger Colleen if she and her adorable sons would be a guest reviewer on this one and this is what she had to say...

All of my boys’ favorite characters on one DVD, hooray!  We particularly loved that it was Spring themed and full of outdoor adventures.  Our family doesn’t have cable or any TV channels so the boys loved being able to watch the characters they used to enjoy on TV as well as a few new ones!  I worried that some of the episodes wouldn’t entertain them (they outgrew Barney a while ago and anything girly like a ballerina is deemed un-cool) but I was wrong.  The boys watched all of the episodes and enjoyed them equally.  My 6 year old even commented on how great the Barney episode was, I was impressed!  This DVD runs just over an hour and is perfect to keep in our car.  The variety in characters keeps the boys entertained which means less back seat fighting and I don’t have to hear “Are we there yet?” quite as often.  Thumbs up from us!
