Baby R is no longer a baby....she will be two in another month.  This of course has me a wee bit nostalgic for my little bundle of a baby but it also has me, well, embarrassed.  Why embarrassed?  It is not due to the last few pounds of baby weight I am carrying (hey, give a girl a break!  I have three kids and a sweet tooth!) it is because up until last week, Baby R had nothing on her walls.  Nothing.  Not one picture, book shelf or even a wall decal!  How on earth have I not found the time to add some flair to this poor child's room??  In any case, thanks to Colorful Concepts and the new product Discovering Shapes, Baby R can now say her room has some character!

Nice, right?  They really look sharp in Baby R's room (we have the Sweetheart edition which features the above "girlish" colors but there is also a vibrant color selection which would be suitable for boys).  Not only do these look great on the wall but they are made for handling.  Each canvas is sturdy and water resistant which makes them 100% sticky toddler friendly.  In fact, this artwork is meant to be handled.  The activity guide (included with the artwork) encourages you to share the art with your child and includes songs and activities to help your child learn the shapes featured.  I have to say, I am thrilled with Discovering Shapes by Colorful Concepts.   I love that the artwork looks nice as well as serves an even more important purpose...being an interactive teaching too that is easily brought into Baby R's day.  Oh, and by the way, I feel much less guilty for being a slacker when it comes to decorating Baby R's room.  I didn't just get her some boring old  poster!  My little girl has true artwork on canvas that we can learn and play with.  Bravo Mom (I mean Colorful Concepts!).
