This month I was lucky enough to receive something from their children's section to review...the Butterflies and Friends Scratch and Sketch book! Here are the details...
Our popular Scratch & Sketch™ series is fun for kids, tweens, teens, even adults! Scratch away the black coating on each page to reveal patterns, swirls, and holographic colors, making images appear like magic! Shrink-wrapped with a wooden stylus for drawing on black-coated paper. 64-page book includes 20 scratch-off, 20 illustrated, 20 sketch pages. 6-3/8" wide x 8-1/2" high; wire-o bound hardcover.
Create your very own field guide to butterflies, moths, ladybugs, bees, and other insects! Get creative with the handy wooden stylus, copying 20 sketches of butterflies and friends as you scratch away the black coating to discover the swirl patterns and glittery colors that appear in your artwork like magic. Kids ages 6 and up will have fun and learn new things, too!
This book is a real gem. How lovely it is for children to be able to find a colorful design beneath the black coated pages! The ways to be creative are endless and this is a great way for children to expand their artistic abilities. I also really liked how the book included facts about the creatures featured...an additional plus to an already great concept. The book is easily portable making it a great take along for waiting rooms and even long car rides. The Butterflies & Friends Scratch and Sketch book is a real favorite around here and the whole series of these creative books has officially made its' way onto my "favorite gifts" list! It is so much fun that I dare all you parents out there to NOT steal a page to do on your own! Check out the full selection today and pick one (or 2, or 3.....) up on the Peter Pauper Press website HERE. These are just $12.99 and really are an ideal gift!
Great news, readers! One lucky RBM reader will win their very own Scratch & Sketch Butterflies and Friends! Thank you so much to my friends at Peter Pauper Press and here is how to enter...
