My children love to build things.  Blocks are a real favorite over here and I would have to say, building toys are a real stand out favorite around here.  I am glad for this because both my husband and I like to play along.  I was more of doll girl as a kid so this is new fun for me but, for my husband, it sweeps him right back to childhood. Earlier this month I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to do a review on two, new K'NEX toys and, boy are these fun! Check out what we have been playing with at Reviewed by Mom...

This set is so much fun for young builders.  Little R is younger than the recommend age of 3 but with help she was able to manage the pieces and loved making sea creatures along with her brothers.  The pieces are nice and chunky for small hands and the figures are fun with great big googly eyes and bright colors.  I like this toy a lot because I think the age appeal is very broad.  With supervision (some of the pieces are a bit small) little ones can get in on the action, yet older children will enjoy the challenge of building the different designs as well as making up more of their own.  Fun, fun, fun!!  You can purchase the set on Amazon by clicking HERE for just $18.07.

Wow...this set is a blast!!! I am going to say though, that it is quite challenging to put together. My sons are 5 (less than the recommended age of 6) so this might have had something to do with this but I would guess that most kids under 9 or so would need a bit of help. This is a plus though parents because it is fun and something you can do together.  Once the track is together it is so, so much fun to play with.  You can just keep the track going to you can race your cars.  I am already planning on buying additional pieces so we can expand upon the set.  If you are looking for a great building toy for you and your child to enjoy together pick up this set today on Amazon.  It usually retails for $59.99 but is on sale right now for $45.74.  A great deal!
