I grew up a missionary kid in Zambia, married a Zimbabwean while working there as an adult, and then spent seventeen years moving through Central America and Africa while my husband worked for an international business. My husband and I have three kids in college and I now spend most of my time volunteering at my church. Because of the grace and love that God has shown me, my desire is to serve others by extending that same grace and love to them. Besides God’s love and my parent’s example of serving Christ, nothing has shaped my life more than living in nations where poverty is the norm and life is hard. I have lived in seven different countries and have left a bit of my heart in each place. This greatly influences my values and my thoughts, and therefore my blog posts.
