The kids and I just recently watched the sweetest film...The Gruffalo. You may be familiar with the book and this is one of those rare times when the movie IS as good as the book. Here is the scoop...

The story behind the movie is wonderful. It is exciting but not too scary for all ages and all three of my children enjoyed the entire movie. The music and narration is very calming and it fits the story to a "T". What is absolutely stellar about the movie is the animation. It is absolutely, positively stunning. The characters and scenery are lovely and you get the feeling that you could easily jump into the screen and be transported to the woods. There is a scene with dandelions (we call them "wish flowers") that is take your breath away beautiful because it is so vivid. My son "W" remarked..."Mama, that is beautiful".

I never saw Hey Arnold! until the kids and I were sent the first season for review. What an adorable show! This one is so funny and charming that I can't believe it is still not running on TV! A&W really enjoyed the predicaments of Arnold and had plenty of laugh out loud moments. I found the show to be completely watchable (some children's shows are a bit of an ahem...struggle to sit through) and I liked how Arnold uses problem solving skills....lots of positive messages in this show. Hey Arnold Season One would be a great addition to your DVD collection. This one would be great for a nostalgic fan or for new fans to be! Are you all watching the hot TV show on TNT, Rizzoli & Isles? After a super successful first season they are back for season two. In case you have not had a chance to watch, here is the scoop... Based on characters created by best-selling crime novelist Tess Gerritsen, RIZZOLI & ISLES stars Angie Harmon as Jane Rizzoli, a tough-as-nails Boston police detective, and Sasha Alexander as Maura Isles, a smart, impeccably dressed medical examiner from a privileged background. Despite being complete opposites, the two women share an offbeat chemistry and strong working relationship that has helped them bust some of Boston�s most notorious criminals.
Lorraine Bracco stars as Jane�s demanding and intrusive mother, Angela. Lee Thompson Young is Detective Barry Frost, Jane�s somewhat green partner. Bruce McGill plays Detective Vince Korsak, Jane�s seasoned former partner who resents her being paired with Frost. And Jordan Bridges is Jane�s brother, Frankie Jr., a patrol cop who hopes one day to become a detective.
Jane and Maura will take on a number of intriguing cases this season, including a murder carried out during a Revolutionary War re-enactment, a killing in a professional baseball team�s locker room, a complicated case involving a surrogate mother and a case involving the Salem witch trials. Jane will also face the return of serial killer Charles Hoyt (Michael Massee � Flash Forward), who takes a special joy in tormenting her.
Among the guest stars lined up for the second season of RIZZOLI & ISLES are Ernie Hudson (Oz, Ghostbusters) as Frost�s father, a Navy admiral; Matthew Del Negro (United States of Tara, Parenthood) as a mechanic who catches Maura�s eye; and Bill O�Reilly (The O�Reilly Factor) as a potential murder suspect.

This is Baby R's absolute favorite DVD to watch. It is adorable and interactive and it is so cute to watch her get excited over it. The songs are familiar ones that we sing so she enjoys the "known" part of it and watching other "babies" sing and play is a huge hit with her. This DVD takes all the favorite songs of childhood couples them with other children and interactive lap songs making it a sure hit. The boys like the silliness of the animals on the farm (who do not talk with words but communicate with their appropriate animals sounds....baa's etc..).
