Say Anything REVIEW

Say Anything is the hilarious party game that allows you to get to know your friends and family better through their responses to different questions.  I had the opportunity to try out the game with a few friends of ours and it was a blast!
To play, each person gets an answer board, dry erase pen, and 2 tokens.  (These are boards and tokens are color coded and have matching images-- like the purple high heel, blue car, etc.)  You then have one person take a Say Anything card and pick a question from the card to ask.  For example: If I could have a BIG anything.  What would it be?  Everyone else then uses their pens to write a response on their board.  Once they have done this, they put their response in the middle of the table. Some examples for the question above might be: 1. House, 2. Bank Account, 3. Kiss from your hubby, etc. When everyone's responses have been displayed, the person who asked the question then secretly picks their favorite answer using the "Select-O-Matic 5000" and places it face down on the table so nobody can see it.  Then, the other players use their tokens to select the answer they thing was the person's favorite.  They can do this by placing both tokens on a single answer or split the tokens on different answers.  The person who selected the answer then reveals their favorite response.  They get 1 point for each token placed on the selected favorite response and the other players get points for correctly selecting the answer with their tokens.  As a bonus, the person who wrote the answer gets a point as well.  After the round is up, play moves to the next person to select another card.  Everyone gets a certain amount of turns and then points are tallied to determine the winner of the game.
Say Anything is a really fun game!  It is super entertaining and seeing all of the different responses gets everyone laughing and talking!  The game is great for parties, gatherings, and for adding a little joy and excitement into your days!  The game is designed for 3-8 players over the age of 13.  Check out the demo video below:

Gift Guide: Reverse Charades Original Edition and Junior Edition (Review and Giveaway) CLOSED

"Reverse Charades is a hilarious twist on a classic stand-by (where one person acts out words for the team to guess-boring)! With Reverse Charades, the entire team has 60 seconds to act out as many words as one person can guess. It’s a fast-paced, fiercely fun team competition that’s an absolute riot with families, work teams, school groups, party-goers or among a few close friends. But be warned…you’re in for big and dangerous doses of fun!"
Get your party started with Reverse Charades! If this is not a fun game, then I don't know what it. Reverse Charades will get you laughing so hard your stomach will hurt.
I love charades, so I knew I would love Reverse Charades Original Edition! I received both Reverse Charades Original Edition and Reverse Charades Junior Edition. Both are extremely fun to play and easy to understand. Instead of one person acting out the word, your whole team acts out the word for one of your teammates! This is an active game that will get everyone participating at once. We had the opportunity of playing both Reverse Charades Original Edition and Reverse Charades Junior Edition during the holidays with our family, and I was surprised at what everyone came up with. Shy relatives didn't seem so shy after playing this fun game because everyone is acting at the same time. The game includes 720 cards, so you will never run out of words to act out. Reverse Charades Original Edition is for ages 6+, so even the kids can join the fun. Reverse Charades Junior Edition is very similar to the Original but with more suitable words for children.
Check out this video to see Reverse Charades in ACTION!

Gift Guide: Morphology Games (Review and Giveaway)

"Morphology is a fun, creative and challenging party
board game combining simple shapes, words and
players’ imagination and creativity.
Using wooden sticks, glass beads and colored cubes
“Morphologists” build words such as butterfly or
airplane for their teammates to guess.
The board takes unique twists turns challenging
players to build their eyes closed or using only the
string--leaving everyone laughing out loud!"
I grew up playing a lot of games, and loved the feeling of coming together as a family. Morphology is a great family game that will get everyone laughing! I had the pleasure of reviewing Morphology over the holidays and was pleasantly surprised at how fun it was!
Even if you don't think you are very creative, this game will pull it out of you! Learning how to play takes no time at all.
Here is how you play the game:
1. DIVIDE INTO TEAMS.
Each team chooses a Morphologist. The Morphologist is the builder each round and rotates with each team.
2. DRAW A WORD FROM THE DECK.
Without talking, the Morphologist must ‘morph’ the pieces into the word.
3. USE THE SHAPES AND PIECES TO BUILD THE WORD.
4. GET YOUR TEAMMATES TO GUESS WITHIN THE ALLOTTED TIME.
Each time the team correctly guesses the word in the 1 minute allowed, they move forward one lily pad. Then the die is passed to the left.
5. IF YOU GUESS CORRECTLY, MOVE YOUR TEAM FROG FORWARD ONE LILY PAD. THE FIRST TEAM TO REACH THE FINISH WINS!
But be ready-the board will take twists and turns as you hop your way through! When you land on a lily pad that says roll, you must roll the die and watch your creativity and laughter grow!
The Rules When You Roll The Die!
Roll a 1: Everybody plays: each team chooses a Morphologist to build (they are limited to 5 pieces each).
Roll a 2: EYES CLOSED: BUILD A WORD WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED!
Roll a 3: tuck your ‘dominant’ hang behind your back and challenge yourself to build using only one hand!
Roll a 4 String only: Build using only the string.
Roll a 5: Your Pick 5: Before looking at the word, pick 5 pieces and use only these five to build the word.
Roll a 6: Interception: You can use all of the pieces, but guess well because if you don’t guess, the other team will get a chance to guess the word correctly and steal a point.

When I took all the pieces out of the box, I was thinking there was no way these pieces could create what was on the cards and that it was going to be too hard! As we began, yes it took a little bit of time to get the brain going, but once the creativity started we were laughing so hard! A lot of the lily pads on the board are labeled roll. When it is your turn to be the Morphologist, you roll the die and follow the rules for that number. My husband rolled 2 so many times it was hilarious. He had to build the word with his eyes closed, and of course it did not look anything close to what he thought he was building. It was very funny!
The only change I would make to the game is, it comes with a string but the string is too stiff to bend into the shape you need, so we switched it out for a more flexible string which worked a lot better. Other then that, the game is perfect, and a blast to play!
It was a really close game, but unfortunately my team lost! Everyone had great things to say about the game, especially my brother who is very picky when it comes to playing games!

Gift Guide: Peaceable Kingdom Review & GIVEAWAY (closed)

Every year for the holidays, along with each person's individual gits, we always try to get a few great gifts for the entire family.  If you have younger kids like mine, then take a look at some great games from Peaceable Kingdom!
Besides their great diaries, cards, stickers, learning sets, and more, Peaceable Kingdom has a fantastic selection of children's games!  They have some fun card games, board games, matching games, and even cooperative games.
I had never heard of a cooperative game and was so happy when Peaceable Kingdom sent me their Hoot Owl Hoot! children's cooperative game to play with my family.  Cooperative games "are games where everyone plays together, no one is left out, and everyone has fun! Unlike a traditional game where there is one winner and one (or many) losers, in a cooperative game the players work as a team against a common obstacle, not against each other. Cooperative games emphasize play, not competition. Kids learn to work and play together in respectful and compassionate ways. They learn to share, make decisions together, and trust one another. Cooperative games encourage inclusion and build confidence. Most importantly, the kids play because it’s fun!"(found on their website)
The Hoot Owl Hoot! game we got turned out to be perfect for our family!  The object of the game is to move all the owls from their start positions all the way to their cozy nest before the sun fully rises.  You get 6 owl tokens, a sun token, and mulitple color and sun cards which are used throughout the game.  (From their website)"To start, place the sun token in the first space on the sun track and place 3 owls on the start spaces. Give 3 cards to each player. Players keep their cards face up in front of them so they can work together to strategize how to move. If a player has a sun card she must discard the sun and move the sun token 1 space up. If she has all color cards she discards any 1 color card and then moves any owl to the next open space of that color. If an owl 'flies' over an owl on a space of that color on its way to the next open space, all players make a hooting sound! The game can be made more challenging by adding up to 6 owl tokens. Because Hoot Owl Hoot! is a cooperative game players play any of the owls – no one player has a single owl she is trying to get back to the nest."
Our family had so much fun playing Hoot Owl Hoot!  My kids really enjoyed recognizing the different colors and moving the owls to the right spots!  And unlike some other games, because of the cooperative aspect, there was no fighting, crying, or feeling bad because everyone was a winner!  Even when the sun fully rose and all of our owls hadn't made it back to the nest, my kids just said "Oh no!  Let's play again so we can get them home safely."  It was really cute!  All in all, I just really loved the cooperative Hoot Owl Hoot! game.  We had a great time playing as a family and working together!  I think the game is great for kids to learn how to make decisions together, share with others, work as a team, and even helps to build positive self-esteem!
Be sure to check out all the different cooperative games Peaceable Kingdom has and grab some for your family this holiday!
