I recently gave away all of my maternity clothes. I am super, duper sentimental so this was kind of significant for me. I feel so lucky to have the three wonderful little children I have and I feel like our family is complete but still....giving away those clothes was kind of slamming that door shut. I did not just give them away to just anyone though. My sister-in-law is expecting her first baby and I gave them to her. I can't help but think seeing her in the maternity shirts that housed A, W & R will make me smile and bring back happy memories of little kicks. I will say that my sister-in-law is definitely going to have to fill in some fashion blanks with what I provided her with. There are lots of basics in those bags as well as some tents (hey....I was pregnant with twins!) along with some things that are way out of style and probably should be burned. The wardrobe I dropped off does have a few pieces of designer maternity clothes but I would definitely invest in a few more of those pieces. There is nothing like a beautiful piece of clothing to make you feel like a million bucks when you have swollen ankles and can no longer see your feet. As far as I am concerned, pieces like that are, without question, worth every penny! If I ever do ask for those clothes back (I think I will go with the never say never approach!), maybe there will be some new and fabulous finds added to the mix!
