I am pretty sure I don't know anyone who has not heard of the fun, popping candy, Pop Rocks.  Pop Rocks were HUGE when I was a kid and were not only yummy and fun to eat but surrounded by the possiblity of "danger".  The word around my little private school was that if you had pop rocks and soda together you would explode which was the rumored fate of little Mikey from the Life cereal ads (both just rumors I assure you!!).  In any case, Pop Rocks have always been a favorite of mine which was why I was SO excited to be included in their 35th Anniversary celebration!




Pop Rocks are 35 years old and in celebration of this milestone they are re-introducing their "retro" flavor....Grape!! 

Grape was an original Pop Rocks flavor but has not been available for nearly 3 decades!  I was lucky enough to be sent some Grape Pop Rocks to sample with A&W and they were as yummy as I remembered!  A&W had never had Pop Rocks before and they thought it was hilarious the way they popped and exploded in their mouths.  Let's face it...candy is pretty great but when you add the fun aspect of a mini mouth explosion you can't go wrong!  Happy Anniversary, Pop Rocks!  I am sure we will still be enjoying your yumminess for many more years!
